Joana Seybert Jesus

After her studies in Portugal, she traveled to the United States of America where she received her pedagogical training in Suzuki Method with the prestigious professor Betty Haag-Kuhnke (Chicago). In parallel with this work, she perfected herself artistically, at a private level, with the renowned violinist Gerardo Ribeiro (Northwestern University).

Back in Portugal, she started her work at the Colégio Luso-Internacional do Porto, creating in this institution the class of Suzuki Method on Violin.
In September 1997, she created A PAUTA Music Academy, which was the first school to emerge in Portugal, exclusively inspired by the Suzuki Method. This project aims above all, to develop the values ​​of the human being through excellence in instrumental teaching. It currently has more than 100 young violinists, aged between two and a half and  adults.
In April 1997 and March of 2011, Joana Seybert Jesus is invited by her American teacher, Betty Haag-Kuhnke, to participate, with her class of violinists, in the Annual Concert at the Orchestra Hall in Chicago.
In 2004, she was a guest teacher at the Suzuki Method Summer Courses in Durango, Colorado (USA).
In the last 10 years, many of its students have won 1st prizes in all the major national competitions.
She was invited several times to give Master Classes at Music Schools and Music Conservatory.
As a complement to her pedagogical ideal, she develops a wide variety of activities within her area, always with the aim of improving and enhancing the musical and artistic side of her students.
