Joana Seybert Jesus
After completing her studies in Portugal, she moved to the United States, where she received her pedagogical training in the Suzuki Method with the renowned teacher Betty Haag-Kuhnke. Alongside this work, she further developed her artistic skills through private studies with the distinguished violinist Gerardo Ribeiro.
Upon returning to Portugal, she began her work at Colégio Luso-Internacional do Porto, where she established the Suzuki Method Violin class at the institution. Simultaneously, she taught at Academia de Música de Santa Maria da Feira and, later, at Academia de Música de Paços de Brandão.
In April 1997, Joana Seybert Jesus was invited by her American teacher, Betty Haag-Kuhnke, to participate with her young class of violinists in the Annual Concert at Orchestra Hall in Chicago.
In September 1997, she founded Academia de Música A PAUTA, which became the first school in Portugal to be exclusively inspired by the Suzuki Method. This project aims, above all, to develop human values through excellence in instrumental teaching.
In 2004, she was a guest teacher at the Suzuki Method Summer Courses in Durango, Colorado (USA).

In May 2011, 40 students from Academia A Pauta participated in the annual concert of the Betty-Haag Academy at Orchestra Hall in Chicago.
Numerous students have won first prizes in national competitions (Concurso Capela, Fundão, Viana do Castelo, Fátima, Paços Premium, and others).
She has been invited on several occasions to teach advanced courses at music schools.
As a complement to her pedagogical vision, she develops a wide variety of activities within her field, always with the aim of enhancing and nurturing the musical and artistic development of her students.
